O.M. Smith Law Group is happy to annouce we are hiring a Legal Assistant/Paralegal. As a Legal Assistant/ Paralegal at O.M. Smith Law Group, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and legal support to our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual who can work in the office and remotely efficiently.
Requirements
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
Assist in organizing and managing case files, scheduling appointments, and maintaining legal databases.
Maintain professional and timely communication with clients, including managing email and phone inquiries.
Conduct legal research, gather information, and provide summaries for attorneys to support case preparation.
Manage attorneys' calendars, schedule appointments, and ensure deadlines are met.
Assist with client billing, create invoices, and track expenses.
Organize and maintain digital and physical files for easy retrieval.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role.
2. Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. High degree of organization and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
7. Proficiency in Clio Manage + Grow, Office365, Lawgic, Grasshopper, Peach Court
